One of the best things about summer in the Okanagan is the bounty of stone fruits that are falling off of the trees at this time of year. What is better than picking (and eating) buckets-full of luscious peaches, apricots and plums? The key though, is to stock up on these fruits at their peak, which is where this handy schedule comes in.

Cherries

Cherries are delicious, fun to pick, and tend to be the first fruits to ripen around these parts. They can be heavily dependent on the weather, so if you are a cherry lover, be sure to check a few weeks ahead of time to see how things are growing.

Apples

An apple a day... is super delicious! And even more so when it’s been ripened under the Okanagan sun.

Pears
