Tips for Travelling with a Sports Team

Travelling with a sports team can be a fun and rewarding experience. But it also offers its own set of challenges. Here are a few pro tips for making the most of team travel.
Maintain Your At-Home Routine
While travelling will certainly upset a team’s at-home training routine, it’s important to ensure as little disturbance as possible. Even if you are staying at a hotel and your schedule is all over the place, encourage team members to maintain their strict diets and their daily workout routines.
Location Matters
When selecting a hotel for your sports team, be sure to choose one that has the amenities to support their activities. For example, the
Ramada Kamloops has features
geared specifically for athletes and those with a more active lifestyle, such as a fitness center and hot tub.
Plan Ahead
If possible, try to plan out your trips as far in advance as you can, keeping in mind that no detail is too small to consider! Tournaments and championships may be a little tougher to plan for, but regular-season play can certainly be booked ahead of time. Here you can iron out any details (especially if you're handling multiple players) and check on the availability of popular amenities like hot tubs or high-speed Internet.
Learn About Your Destinations
You will have some downtime as you travel with a sports team, even if you are a player. To make the best use of your free time, do some research ahead of your trip to learn about the areas you will be visiting. Even if you've been there before, there may be a new attraction or event taking place while you’re there. Remember that unwinding, relaxing and enjoying a little adventure, are essential when it comes to achieving peak performance.
